II. Structured Curriculums

Integration of the Work Integrated Learning curriculum with OLUMS™ to ensure that the curriculum is properly structured and appropriately assessed. Information that is populated into the management system includes:
• Exit Level Outcomes with credit value
• Specific Outcomes with credit values
• Assessment criteria with credit values or weighting
• The core and elective outcomes
• Core and elective outcomes
• Frequency of learner progress report submission
• Onsite monitoring rules

III. Real time Automated Student Portfolios

time.

IV. Offline Editor

The platform includes an offline editor that allows students to work offline and synchronize their
reports with the live server when internet connectivity is available. The offline editor allows
students who do not have internet connectivity to work offline.

VI. Automated administration for Onsite Monitoring and Visitation

OLUMS™ allows for Academics to manage the scheduling of onsite visitation in a very user-friendly
manner.

V. Dynamic Editor

OLUMS Dynamic Editor allows the lecturer and mentor to engage actively with student reports and
provide editorial feedback to the students on the Student Task Report itself. The student can make
the editorial changes and re-submit their report multiple times for consideration.

VII. Tracking the Approval of Employer Workstations

OLUMS™ Tracks and Manages the approval of all Employers to ensure that the Work Integrated
Learning experience of the student meets the required standards of the specific qualifications.

Management Alerts

OLUMS™ uses email and SMSs to alert users to respond to flagged processes.

VIII. Feedback Reports

Tracking and management of the Employer Feedback at the end of all interviews, Student Feedback
and Mentor Feedback.
All Feedback Reports are concatenated into a single .pdf file per qualification which can be used for curriculum development and quality improvement purposes.

IX. Executive Report

OLUMS™ produces the following executive reports in real time. These reports are imperative in
ensuring total quality in the management of work integrated learning across the university.

• Records of all Employers, Mentors and students who are engaged with Work Integrated
Learning
• Records of Accreditation and Certification of Employers
• Records of all students who are ready for WIL placement but are still not yet placed.
• Records of all Mentors linked to students per qualification, in an ECSA ready format
• Records of all WIL student Feedback on Curriculum and WIL
• Records of all Online WIL Progress Reports, WIL Assessments, WIL Portfolios in a PDF format
• Records of students who completed the WIL training and not yet graduated

X. Real Time Chat Facility

OLUMS™ uses real time chat via the Android App to allow users to respond in the following
instances on any one of our platforms:

  • Administrators / mentors / prospective employers can chat directly with Students and
    Graduates via Android APP
  • Students can chat directly with Employers via the System Dashboard and Android APP
