About OLUMS
OLUMS™ is a level one B-BBEE proudly South African–accredited software company delivering innovative, database-driven platforms for the education sector. We enable institutions to effi ciently manage Work-Integrated Learning (WIL), student and graduate placements and grant administration, all from a single and secure system.
Our platforms are powered and locally hosted server infrastructure in South Africa in partnership with AWS (Amazon Web Services), a global leader in cloud computing. This partnership ensures data sovereignty, regulatory compliance, dependable performance and real-time system responsiveness. Institutions can therefore trust that their data, student records, and employer information are stored safely, managed effi ciently and accessible whenever needed.
Founded by a retired South African academic with over 30 years of higher-education experience, OLUMS was built to solve real challenges faced by institutions fragmented WIL processes, ineffi cient student-employer matching and complex grant administration. By addressing these challenges, OLUMS supports the goals of the South African National Development Plan (NDP), contributing to youth employment, skills development and enhanced graduate employability through quality education.
